TESOL

Teaching English To Speakers of Other Languages

The primary purpose of PFACF's TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program has as its primary purpose, to train Asian Christian missionaries as English language teachers. Many countries in Asia with the largest populations are closed to Christian missionaries. Through English teaching, many missionaries are finding open doors into these countries. People living in countries once labeled as unreached with the Gospel, are now being reached through relationships with their English teachers.

The TESOL training program is practical in nature, enabling students to learn the rudiments of classroom instruction. Personal accent reduction classes are also held as well as classes in grammar and workshops in developing teaching materials. Projects For Asia TESOL graduates are serving as teachers throughout Asia in the countries of China, Cambodia Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and more. English teaching is an effective tool to reach the nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

PFACF also operates its own English language schools for the general populations in the countries of the Philippines , Cambodia , India , and soon in Thailand . Graduates of the PFACF TESOL Teacher Training School teach in these ministry schools.
