Hope of Glory Children's Home - India

PFACF Hope of Glory Children's Home is located in the Araku Valley, India. There are approximately 35,000,000 orphans in the country. The home seeks to help these children and also save them from some of the common problems they might face.

For the majority of families, girls are viewed as a burden due to Indian's dowry beliefs. A mother might worry that she will not be able to give a big sum of dowry for her girl's wedding. So, if a mother gives birth to a second or a third female baby, she might determine to kill or abandon the child.

Another problem is that people will purposefully hurt children. They cripple the children and make use of them for begging. These people make their living and business through children's begging.

Neglect of these children is a heart aching problem in the country. PFACF Hope of Glory Children's Home currently has 200 orphans which PFA feeds, clothes and educates.
